Slow news week

Since Newsweek is featuring yet another Sarah Palin hit piece on their cover this week, I have to conclude that there is nothing going on in the world that’s more important than smearing a private citizen who is not in public office. I have to assume that the Gulf Oil Spill, the European Debt Crisis, the Escalating of Tensions in the Middle East and on the Korean Peninsula, the Mexican Drug War, the imminent collapse of the Euro, the Rise of Islamism in Turkey, the arrest of Jihadists in New Jersey, Chris Christie’s budget cutting crusade, the USA’s worsening relations with Great Britain, the Sestak/Romanoff/Blagojevich scandals, the wretched May economic numbers, … all of these stories are less important than doing yet another hit piece on Sarah Palin.
