Bombs

The FBI and BATF recently made several raids up in Yankee land around Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. You can tell who the government is worried about…nine wackos who may or may not be terrorists. No word yet on whether or not they had materials for making bombs. Some are theorizing that it’s only a government play at sympathetic coverage against the evil Christians.

Meanwhile, recent news reports say that real terrorists are setting off real bombs in Russia. Yawn.

By the way, did you ever wonder how the bomber Bill Ayers got off on a “technicality?” Dare we assume he was a government mole?

Prius

A year ago, they were signatures of environmental caring, replete with Obama bumper stickers and fading “No blood for oil” slogans. Now, however, are not they anti-American, anti-union, anti-Obama administration, anti-consumer, pro-corporate greed fetishes?

Warming Scam

A study released on Monday by researchers at George Mason University and the University of Texas at Austin found that only about half of the 571 television weathercasters surveyed believed that global warming was occurring, and less than a third believed that climate change was “caused mostly by human activities.” More than a quarter of the weathercasters in the survey agreed with the statement, “Global warming is a scam,” the researchers found.

Oh, and in another story the Gulf Stream was determined not to be slowing down either.

Isn’t it ironic that science is destroying the claims by the pseudo-scientists? Grab the popcorn because I’ll bet there’s more coming.

Elsewhere, famed global warming activist James Schneider and a journalist friend were both found frozen to death on Saturday, about 90 miles from South Pole Station, by the pilot of a ski plane practicing emergency evacuation procedures.

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing”, recounted the pilot, Jimmy Dolittle. “There were two snowmobiles with cargo sleds, a tent, and a bright orange rope that had been laid out on the ice, forming the words, ‘HELP-COLD'”.

One friend of Prof. Schneider told ecoEnquirer that he had been planning a trip to an ice sheet to film the devastation brought on by global warming.

Wilt Chamberlain

One of the most famous numbers in American sports history is Wilt Chamberlain’s average of 50 points scored per NBA game in 1961-62 (including 100 in a single game). Nobody else has ever averaged 40. He also led the league in rebounding, the second most prominent statistic, with an astonishing 26 per game.

Panem et circenses

This phrase originates from Rome in Satire X of the Roman poet Juvenal (circa 100 AD ). In context, the Latin phrase panis et circenses (bread and circuses) is given as the only remaining cares of a Roman populace which has given up its birthright of political involvement. Here Juvenal displays his contempt for the declining heroism of his contemporary Romans. Roman politicians devised a plan in 140 B.C. to win the votes of the poor; by giving out cheap food and entertainment, politicians decided that this policy of “bread and circuses” would be the most effective way to rise to power.

Feminists

As a husband of 22 years (with the same woman that is), I’d like to make a few observations. 1) Feminism is a scam. The aim is to dispossess men from their natural biological role – namely to produce and protect offspring. 2) Feminism aims to replace the actual male husband with the state – treating men as second class humans and taxing them into submission. 3) Now that women have the vote the Feminists want to vote money out of men’s wallets and into womens’. They want to buy protection from the state (e.g. police) rather than have to rely on those icky husbands they’ve neutered into submission.4) In the long run, it’s not going to work. Men have wised up to the bad deal, and are voting with their dicks. They get the sex they want and refuse to “commit.”

Ramblings

Sarah Palin is being bashed for a Tweet saying, “Don’t Retreat, Instead Reload.” Seems she is urging the right wing to use violence, according to the leftists. Meanwhile the leftists of the SEIU actually used violence by throwing eggs at a bus carrying tea party patriots to an event in Nevada.

According to Yankees the South is full of bible thumping rednecks. So I was surprised to learn the a wealthy county in New Jersey still has Blue Laws. Good Lord, Texas did away with them twenty years ago.

Women are being offered the ultimate question they should ask themselves when considering marriage, “Is this the man I want to share custody of my kids with every other weekend?

Speaking of women…what man would fight and die for today’s women? Paris Hilton? Anna Nicole? Any one of Tiger’s girlfriends? It’s your call.

Arranged marriages and harems can’t be any worse than the misery and mayhem produced by modern women and their grievances.

Still no video evidence has surfaced to prove that tea party activists shouted racial epithets at black members of Congress during the health care debate.

Deficits

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that within ten years, the US budget deficit will rise to 90% of GDP. By that time the federal public debt will amount to $170,000 per household.
